Pediatric Dental Assistant

About the Role
We are a well-established privately owned pediatric dental practice in Marietta (near Kennestone hospital) seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a dependable, organized professional who is confident in pediatric dentistry and capable of supporting strong clinical systems and back-office protocols. This person will be compassionate and caring towards infants, children, and patients with special medical needs and their families and have a strong sense of professionalism in their daily role.

What You'll Do
• Provide a positive, calm experience for pediatric patients and families
• Maintain organized and well-stocked operatories
• Assist with sterilization, infection control, and compliance standards
• Educate patients and parents on oral health and treatment
• Support and follow established clinical protocols and systems
• Chairside assist doctor during sedation visits, treatments and consults

What You'll Bring
Required: • Previous hands-on experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant
• Expanded Duties Certificate
• Current CPR, OSHA/HIPPA and Radiology Certificates
• Confident assisting chairside in pediatric dental procedures
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Experienced in maintaining and helping implement back-office protocols, systems, and workflows
• Proactive, dependable, and able to take ownership of clinical organization
• Warm, patient, and exceptional with kids (and parents!)
• Strong team player with a positive, professional attitude
• Strong computer/typing skills and technology saavy
Preferred: • Appointment scheduling experience
• Phone answering experience
• Experience with dental lasers, frenectomies, and conscious sedation
