Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations to identify oral health issues.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their individual needs.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, documenting all patient interactions thoroughly.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Review medical records for relevant health information and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Support the dental team with chairside assisting, including preparing materials, managing dental supplies, and operating dental equipment safely.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare infection control standards and manage documentation review for quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation management.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
  • Skilled in dental x-ray procedures with certification in radiography if required by state law.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health.
  • Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and healthcare safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $59.00 - $64.00 per hour
