Registered Dental Hygienist
Job Description
Job description:
At Gregory Dentistry, we believe exceptional dentistry begins with true hospitality. Our goal is to provide a patient experience that feels welcoming, personal, and remarkably different from the typical dental office. We value kindness, professionalism, teamwork, attention to detail, initiative, and a genuine desire to serve others.
We’re looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, takes pride in providing thorough and compassionate care, and wants to be part of a high-quality, team-oriented private practice.
Our hygienists are scheduled for 60-minute appointments, allowing time to provide thorough care, educate patients, and build genuine relationships without feeling rushed.
If you want the time and support to provide excellent care rather than simply moving patients through a schedule, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Provide thorough, patient-centered preventive and periodontal care
- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and help identify patients who may benefit from periodontal therapy
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images
- Educate patients about their oral health in a clear, encouraging, and nonjudgmental way
- Help patients understand the connection between their oral health, recommended treatment, and long-term dental health
- Build genuine relationships with patients and help create an experience that makes them feel comfortable and cared for
- Work closely with Dr. Gregory to identify and communicate patients’ restorative and comprehensive treatment needs
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
- Maintain excellent infection control and sterilization standards
- Keep your operatory organized, stocked, and prepared for the day
- Help keep the hygiene schedule running efficiently while providing each patient the attention they deserve
- Support the rest of the team when needed and take initiative during downtime
What We’re Looking For
- Current Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail
- Strong periodontal assessment and patient education skills
- Warm, friendly, and professional communication
- Someone who is comfortable discussing treatment recommendations with patients
- Ability to build trust and lasting relationships with patients
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Dependable, coachable, and team-oriented
- Someone who takes initiative and looks for what needs to be done rather than waiting to be asked
- Experience with digital radiography, intraoral photography, and digital scanning is a plus
- Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in creating a first-class patient experience
