Company & Hygiene DA Position Overview
We have an amazing opportunity for you! Chester County Dental Arts is a privately owned multi-specialty dental practice dedicated to serving the Chester County community. Since its founding in 2015, the practice has grown steadily, earning a reputation for exceptional patient care and community trust. Our caring, private office team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic team. We have 3 Hygienists on staff who need a Hygiene DA to help them with daily procedures and cleanings. We have normal dental assistants and EFDAs on staff. We are looking for a DA specifically for our Hygiene Department. We are looking to hire a DA based off of their experience in the field - from a beginner to an experienced DA with an EFDA license.
Pay will be based on experience in the field:
- Beginner DA/No experience to 1 year: $16 - $18/hour
- Experienced DA 3-5 years experience: $21 - $23/hour
- EFDA Certified DA: $25 - $28/hour

We have been extremely successful with focusing on developing long term relationships with our doctors, staff, and patients
Duties
- Prepare HYGIENE treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Assist hygienists during routine cleanings.
- Take and develop dental x-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and patient comfort while adhering to dental sterilization procedures.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) system in Eaglesoft
- Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management to ensure safety and comfort throughout treatment.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions, demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
- Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient management software, and medical documentation.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a dental office is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- X-Ray License is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is highly desirable.
