Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments, materials, and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments and managing patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and coordinating with the dental reception team to optimize clinic flow.
- Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and various specialties like pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry to facilitate effective communication within the team.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential.
- Practical understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently during diverse procedures.
- Knowledge of dental assisting best practices related to vital signs measurement, anatomy recognition, and medical terminology for accurate patient care delivery.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
