Dental Assistant – Full-Time
First State Endodontics – Pike Creek, DE
Overview:
First State Endodontics is a specialty practice, and we are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our growing team!
We specialize exclusively in root canal therapy and microsurgical endodontic care, using the latest technology in a patient-centered, supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who is excited to grow with a new office, comfortable assisting with endodontic procedures, and committed to delivering an excellent patient experience.
Tentative Hours:
- Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duties:
- Assist the doctor during endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy and microsurgery
- Prepare and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records (experience with Open Dental software is a plus, but not required)
- Provide patients with clear post-operative instructions and help ease any concerns
- Occasionally assist with scheduling or front desk support if needed
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Dental Assistant certification, Delaware Dental Radiology Certification, and BLS certification preferred
- Experience assisting in a dental setting (endodontic experience a plus, but not required)
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technology and procedures
