We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking vital signs, medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, following infection prevention protocols.
- Process and sterilize dental instruments according to infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Take high-quality dental X-rays and assist with other diagnostic imaging as needed.
- Maintain clinical supplies, ensure proper sterilization procedures are followed, and assist in inventory management of dental instruments and materials.
- Uphold all clinical confidentiality policies and adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control policies at all times.
Experience
- 4 to 5 years experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially within general dentistry
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health is required to support accurate documentation and effective communication.
- Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques is necessary to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines
- Strong understanding of dental assisting practices such as four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting techniques, and oral surgery support is important for success in this role.
- Certification in radiography (X-ray) is required
