- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation
- Review recommended treatment with patients following the doctor's exam
- Use X-rays and intraoral photos to help patients understand their treatment
- Reinforce the importance and urgency of recommended care
- Provide a clear, professional handoff to the front office
- Follow proper sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, and CDC protocols
- Keep operatories, sterilization, lab, and clinical areas clean and organized
- Monitor supplies and communicate ordering needs before materials run low

- Has previous dental assisting experience
- Is comfortable assisting with implant procedures
- Is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Can confidently take quality X-rays and digital scans
- Understands the importance of excellent room setup and preparation
- Stays with the patient and is attentive throughout treatment
- Communicates well with both patients and the doctor
- Is comfortable reinforcing treatment recommendations and helping patients understand their care
- Takes initiative during downtime instead of waiting to be told what to do
