Experienced Dental Assistant
Job Description
Sweet Tooth Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics / Caring Kids Pediatric Dentistry
For the assistant who knows that the little things are actually the big things.
You notice when a child is nervous before they say anything.
You know when the doctor is going to need something before they ask for it.
You can tell when the room setup is off, when the schedule is starting to slip, and when a teammate could use an extra set of hands.
In pediatric dentistry, the clinical work matters. But so does the way a child feels when they leave.
We get to help kids build confidence, have better dental experiences, and sometimes completely change the way they feel about coming to the dentist.
We’re looking for a Dental Assistant or RDA who takes pride in being part of that.
You’ll Probably Love This Role If You…
- You genuinely enjoy working with kids
- You like being busy, but you also like things to feel organized
- You anticipate what the doctor and team need next
- You take pride in clean setups, strong clinical standards, and doing things correctly
- You step in when a teammate needs help without waiting to be asked
- You stay calm when the schedule gets busy
- You want to keep learning and becoming stronger in your role
What You’ll Be Doing
- Chairside assisting in pediatric dentistry
- X-rays and clinical documentation
- Sterilization and room turnover
- Behavior management and helping nervous patients feel comfortable
- Supporting efficient patient flow
- Communicating with doctors, teammates, parents, and patients
- Helping maintain the clinical systems that keep the day running smoothly
Dental assisting experience is required. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred. California RDA credentials are preferred, and orthodontic experience is a plus.
