Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for pediatric oral health and demonstrate expertise in providing comprehensive dental care tailored to children. This role involves delivering high-quality dental services in a supportive environment, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and education. The Part-Time Pediatric Dentist will collaborate with our team to promote excellent oral health practices and foster positive experiences for young patients.

Duties

  • Perform pediatric dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning with precision and attention to detail.
  • Deliver a wide range of dental procedures including dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and placement of dental implants when necessary.
  • Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
  • Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
  • Conduct patient assessments, explain treatment options clearly, and communicate effectively with both children and their guardians.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure comprehensive patient care, including orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery when indicated.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare guidelines while managing medical records securely.
  • Utilize medical imaging tools and knowledge of anatomy to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform dental extractions, endodontic treatments such as root canals, and assist with dental fabrication processes as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control standards and proper sterilization techniques throughout all clinical activities.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in a pediatric dentistry setting or general dentistry with pediatric patients is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis related to pediatric dentistry.
  • Experience performing complex procedures including oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, and prosthodontics is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, state healthcare regulations, and medical documentation standards is essential.
  • Prior experience in a dental clinic environment emphasizing infection control and aseptic techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families while providing exceptional patient care.
