Job Summary
We are currently looking for an energetic, full-time OR part-time hygienist who loves working with children & enjoys working as a team. Applicants must be compassionate and maintain a positive outlook. We have 5 doctors that travel between our three offices in Fort Worth, Keller and Saginaw. We offer competitive pay, 401k, vacation & PTO depending on if you are part-time for full-time.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, ensuring the highest standards of oral health care are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories
- Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to treatment
- Assist with patient management in pediatric dentistry cases when necessary
- Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Support the dental team with general administrative tasks related to patient care
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Proven experience in dental office settings, including pediatric dentistry
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment and utilize medical imaging equipment effectively
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations, including pediatrics
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management
- Effective communication skills to educate patients about oral health strategies
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
