Dental Assistant

Centrasota Oral Surgeons has a full-time opening (Monday-Friday) for a Licensed Dental Assistant in our St. Cloud office. We are looking for team members with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide quality care to patients of all ages. Some travel to our Hutchinson and Monticello offices required. This position offers 9 days per pay period or 4 days per week once training is complete!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preoperative preparation of patient obtaining blood pressure, pulse and EKG as necessary for procedure.
• Directly assist surgeons during surgical procedures, including suctioning, patient monitoring and airway management during sedation as directed by surgeons.
• Take radiographs as directed by surgeons.
• Take impressions along with pouring/trimming surgical models.
• Assist in sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments prior to surgical cases.
• Work in post-operative recovery room on a rotating basis.
• Assist surgeon in postoperative follow-up appointments.
• Schedule appointments for patients as needed.
• Do triage calls to patients when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING:

• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
• Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
• BLS Certified, willing to become ACLS Certified
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs
• Must be able to assist patients with transfer and ambulating
