Dental Assistant

Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant (Part-Time – Thursdays)

Location: Park Street Dental in Westborough, MA

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable dental assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is one day per week (Thursdays), from 10:00AM to 6:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the dental field and a patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including bracket placement, wire changes, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
• Take digital impressions, radiographs, and intraoral photos as needed
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and appliance care
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records
• Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Fabricate Essix retainers from 3D printed models

Qualifications:

• Dental assisting
• Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Experience with digital imaging and orthodontic software preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced setting
• Professional, positive, and patient-centered demeanor
