Position Summary

We are seeking a Surgical & Cosmetic Dentist with at least 1 year of hands-on experience performing guided All-on-X procedures. The ideal candidate is equally passionate about surgery and aesthetics: someone who wants to place implants, perform full-arch and full-mouth rehabilitations, extract third molars, and deliver beautiful veneer and smile-design cases. You should have a strong surgical skillset, a refined eye for esthetics, familiarity with prosthetic workflows, and the ability to perform adjunctive surgical procedures such as sinus lifts and ridge augmentations. This role is ideal for a dentist who thrives in a surgical environment and wants to focus on advanced implant, full-mouth, and cosmetic dentistry in a fee-for-service setting.

Key Responsibilities

Implant & Full-Arch Surgery

• Perform All-on-X (All-on-4/All-on-6) guided surgical procedures from digital planning through surgery and immediate-load conversion.
• Rehab and revise failing or failed All-on-X cases, including implant removal, re-grafting, re-planning, and conversion to new prostheses.
• Place single, multiple, and full-arch dental implants using guided and freehand techniques.
• Conduct sinus lift surgeries (lateral and crestal approaches), ridge augmentations, socket preservation, and bone/soft tissue grafting as indicated.
• Perform surgical extractions, including impacted and erupted third molars, full-mouth extractions, and alveoloplasty in preparation for full-arch treatment.
• Administer local anesthesia and support patient comfort with oral conscious sedation and/or nitrous oxide as permitted by your California permits.

Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry

• Design and deliver porcelain veneers, crowns, and smile makeovers using digital smile design and mock-up workflows.
• Plan and execute full-mouth rehabilitations, including occlusal analysis, vertical dimension changes, and phased treatment sequencing.
• Restore implants and deliver immediate-load provisional and final full-arch prostheses (zirconia, hybrid, and PMMA).
• Coordinate shade matching, esthetic try-ins, and final adjustments to achieve predictable, natural-looking results.

Treatment Planning & Patient Experience

• Conduct comprehensive exams, CBCT and intraoral scan review, and digital treatment planning for complex surgical and cosmetic cases.
• Present comprehensive, fee-for-service treatment plans to patients with clarity and confidence, and partner with our treatment coordinators on case acceptance.
• Collaborate closely with the prosthetic and lab teams to ensure precise surgical-prosthetic integration.
• Participate in case planning sessions with our multidisciplinary team.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up for surgical and cosmetic patients, and manage complications when they arise.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort at all stages of treatment, delivering a luxury-level experience from consultation to final delivery.

Clinical Standards & Growth

• Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation, photography, and informed consents in compliance with California Dental Board regulations.
• Capture high-quality pre-op and post-op clinical photos and video to support case documentation and practice marketing.
• Contribute to protocols and continuous improvement in our surgical and cosmetic workflows.
• Stay current on implant, surgical, and esthetic advancements through ongoing continuing education.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
• Active California dental license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing guided All-on-X surgeries (experience must be verifiable).
• Experience with third molar and complex surgical extractions.
• Competency in sinus lift techniques, ridge augmentation, and bone grafting.
• Demonstrated cosmetic experience, including veneers and smile design (case portfolio preferred).
• Moderate to advanced prosthetic dentistry experience (including immediate load, final prosthesis delivery, and full-mouth rehabilitation).
• Oral conscious sedation and/or IV sedation permit a plus.
• Strong communication and case-presentation skills with patients and team members.
• Commitment to continuing education and staying current on implant, surgical, and cosmetic advancements.
