Dental Sleep Medicine Sales & Lead Conversion Specialist
Job Description
Klooster Family Dentistry Holly Springs
Full-Time | In-Office | Monday–Friday
Are you great on the phone, confident in sales, and experienced with sleep apnea treatment?
Klooster Family Dentistry is looking for a highly motivated, personable, and results-driven Sleep Specialist to join our growing Sleep Apnea Department.
***The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a dental practice that provides sleep apnea treatment through oral appliance therapy and understands the patient journey from initial inquiry through consultation and treatment.
This is a sales and lead-conversion position. It is not a clinical role and is not a traditional front-desk or patient-facing position.
The majority of your day will be spent on the phone, responding to incoming leads, conducting phone consultations, following up with prospective patients, overcoming barriers and objections, and ultimately converting qualified leads into scheduled consultations.
We invest heavily in marketing and generate leads through multiple channels. Your job is to make sure those opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, knows how to build trust quickly, isn't afraid to pick up the phone repeatedly, and understands that successful sales requires excellent listening, consistent follow-up, and confidently asking someone to take the next step.
What You'll Do:
Lead Management & Inside Sales
You will take ownership of incoming Sleep Apnea Department leads from sources including:
- Incoming phone calls
- Website inquiries
- Digital advertising and marketing campaigns
- Social media
- Existing patient inquiries
- Other inbound lead-generation channels
You will respond quickly to new inquiries and conduct phone consultations with prospective patients to understand their concerns, educate them about sleep apnea and available treatment options, and determine the appropriate next step.
Most importantly, you will be responsible for moving qualified leads from "interested" to "scheduled."
You must be comfortable:
- Spending a significant portion of your workday on the phone
- Making a high volume of outbound follow-up calls
- Following up repeatedly with leads who have not yet scheduled
- Building rapport quickly
- Asking thoughtful questions and listening closely
- Identifying what is preventing someone from moving forward
- Handling questions, concerns, and objections confidently
- Creating appropriate urgency without using high-pressure tactics
- Asking for the appointment and confidently closing the conversation
- Collecting the required consultation payment when booking
- Working toward measurable lead-conversion goals
If you are uncomfortable with sales, follow-up, performance metrics, or spending a significant portion of your day on the phone, this will not be the right position for you.
Sleep Apnea Knowledge & Patient Education:
Previous experience working in a dental practice that provides oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea is highly preferred.
Our strongest candidate will already understand the dental sleep medicine process and have experience speaking with patients about topics such as:
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Sleep testing and sleep study results
- CPAP therapy and CPAP intolerance
- Oral appliance therapy
- Physician prescriptions
- Medical insurance benefits and preauthorization
- The consultation-to-treatment process
If you already know how to confidently speak with a patient who has been diagnosed with sleep apnea, has struggled with CPAP, or is exploring oral appliance therapy, we especially want to hear from you.
For the right candidate with exceptional sales ability and strong dental experience, additional sleep apnea training can be provided.
Follow-Up & Conversion:
Strong follow-up is one of the most important parts of this position.
Not every lead will schedule during the first conversation. You will maintain an organized pipeline and consistently reconnect with prospective patients through phone calls and other approved communication channels.
You will use our CRM and lead-management systems to document:
- New leads
- Contact attempts
- Conversations
- Patient concerns and objections
- Follow-up dates
- Appointment status
- Conversion results
- Next steps
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their leads rather than waiting for prospective patients to call back.
Every lead should have a clear status and next step.
Preparing Patients for Their Consultation:
Once you successfully convert a lead and schedule a consultation, you will work alongside our Sleep Coordinator and Sleep Team to ensure everything required for the patient's appointment is collected and completed.
This may include:
- Obtaining previous sleep test results
- Obtaining physician prescriptions when required
- Collecting complete insurance information
- Gathering relevant medical or dental records
- Communicating outstanding requirements to the patient
- Following up until required documentation is received
- Coordinating with the Sleep Team regarding insurance verification and preauthorization
- Ensuring the patient's information is complete before the in-person consultation
Your responsibility does not end when the appointment is booked. Strong ownership and follow-through are essential.
Sales Training & Performance:
We are looking for someone who wants to become exceptional at lead conversion.
You will participate in ongoing coaching and training that may include:
- Call reviews
- Role-playing
- Script development and refinement
- Objection-handling training
- Sales and communication coaching
- Lead pipeline reviews
- Conversion-rate reviews
Performance in this position will be measured.
Key metrics may include response time, contact rate, appointments booked, lead-to-consult conversion rate, follow-up activity, and overall pipeline management.
We want someone who enjoys having goals, tracking results, and continuously improving their performance.
The Klooster Way:
At Klooster Family Dentistry, we believe in:
- Education over pressure.
- Relationships over transactions.
- Excellence, ownership, and follow-through.
We want someone who can combine genuine compassion with strong sales ability.
The best person for this role doesn't simply read a script. They listen, understand what is holding someone back, answer questions confidently, build trust, and guide the patient toward taking the next step.
Schedule:
Our office hours are:
Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
A mandatory team huddle begins at 7:45 AM each working day.
This is an in-office position and is not a remote sales role.
Why This Role Matters:
Our Sleep Apnea Department helps patients who may have spent years struggling with poor sleep, exhaustion, CPAP intolerance, or untreated sleep apnea.
We generate the leads. We need someone who knows what to do with them.
We are looking for someone who will own the pipeline, work the leads, follow up consistently, build trust, and convert opportunities into scheduled patients.
If you have experience in sales and effective communication, we especially want to meet you!
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- 401(k) matching
- Employee discount
- Health insurance

- Vision insurance
