Dentist

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Locum Tenens Dentist to provide high-quality dental care at our FFS/PPO private practice from approximately November to February, Monday-Thursday, no later than 5:00 PM, flexible schedule to accommodate your needs. Guaranteed daily pay! Established and supportive team in place to help with patient care and trained in all of the equipment. As a locum provider, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless continuity of care for our patients.

Responsibilities

Perform a range of dental procedures that you are comfortable in, including dental examinations, direct and indirect restorations, simple extractions, and root canals. Cases can be given to another doctor if you are not comfortable performing them.
Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on accurate dental diagnosis and patient needs while explaining procedures clearly to patients.
Maintain precise medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and state healthcare regulations.
Utilize dental software system Dentrix Ascend for charting, scheduling, billing, and record management.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during procedures.
Collaborate effectively with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment options, post-operative care instructions, and preventive oral health strategies.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice dentistry with appropriate credentials for locum work.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical records management.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques while maintaining high standards of infection control and safety protocols.
