ARDALAN PEDIATRIC DENTIST
Job Description
GO BEYOND TEETH. MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
At Ardalan Pediatric Dentistry, we believe pediatric dentistry is about much more than teeth. Every day, we help children feel safe, build trust with families, and create positive experiences that can shape a child’s perception of dental care for a lifetime.
Our mission: To go beyond teeth and make a difference.
- Community — Together we do more.
- Quality — Exceptional experiences only.
- Character — Kindness above all.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our energetic, collaborative Clinical Team in a busy, state-of-the-art pediatric practice. Our assistants are essential to excellent care, efficient clinical operations, and helping children and parents feel supported. You will work with multiple pediatric dental providers, modern technology, and teammates who value learning, follow-through, and kindness.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Welcome children and families and build rapport with patients of different ages and needs.
- Support our pediatric dentists during examinations, preventive visits, and restorative appointments as appropriate to your training and qualifications.
- Prepare and break down rooms, instruments, and trays; follow sterilization and infection-control protocols.
- Review relevant medical information and accurately document clinical services using Dentrix and digital systems such as Sidexis.
- Support digital radiography, preventive care, and other delegated clinical duties only when properly qualified and supervised as required.
- Use supportive pediatric behavior guidance, such as Tell-Show-Do and positive reinforcement.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents, providers, the Clinical Team, and the Business Team.
- Maintain complete patient-care handoffs and accurate charting; follow all required safety and workflow checkpoints.
- Learn new skills, welcome coaching, and contribute to continuous improvement.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Genuinely enjoys working with children and takes pride in creating five-star experiences through warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and exceptional hospitality for every patient and family.
- Takes responsibility for assigned tasks and follows through, especially on busy days.
- Pays close attention to patient safety, accuracy, and established protocols.
- Communicates kindly and directly, supports teammates, and adapts to multiple providers.
- Accepts feedback, seeks clarification when uncertain, and wants to keep learning.
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude.
- Dental assisting and pediatric experience are valued, but years of experience alone do not determine who is right for APD. We welcome both experienced dental assistants and individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and begin a rewarding career in pediatric dentistry.
CLINICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred; pediatric experience a plus.
- Florida-recognized expanded-functions training and appropriate dental radiography qualifications preferred for roles involving those duties.
- Knowledge of Dentrix, Sidexis, restorative assisting, orthodontics, or specialty services is beneficial.
- Applicants must be able to perform assigned duties within applicable training, delegation, and supervision requirements. Qualifications are verified before any regulated task is assigned.
TRAINING AND CAREER GROWTH
APD has a five-tier clinical development structure and a structured foundational pediatric dental assistant training program, generally designed around 16–24 weeks for Tiers I and II. The program includes observation, guided learning, mentoring, competency check-offs, and opportunities to build toward restorative assisting, orthodontics, TOTS, and advanced clinical responsibilities where appropriate. Advancement depends on demonstrated competence and applicable qualifications—not simply time in a position.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive pay based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
- Four-day workweek and a supportive team environment.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching and employee discounts.
- Ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Modern equipment and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for children and families.
WHY APD?
We are not looking for someone to simply fill a position. We are looking for someone who wants a career with purpose, takes pride in their work, supports teammates, and contributes to exceptional experiences for children and families. If our values resonate with you, we would love to hear your story.
