Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene

Perimeter College invites applications for an assistant professor position in dental hygiene. This is a teaching-focused position: 80% of the workload is instruction, with 10% in service to the department, college, and university, and 10% in scholarly and creative activities. Perimeter faculty are responsible for providing 27-32 credit hours of instruction per academic year and engaging in service to the department, college, and university as well as scholarly and creative activities. Teaching responsibilities include didactic courses and clinical instruction and may include clinic management or coordination. Perimeter College faculty maintain a campus presence, and the successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to early undergraduate teaching and learning, and the ability to thrive in an academic setting with an access mission. Perimeter College is a multi-campus institution, and the teaching assignment may be on any of the college’s campuses. The dental hygiene program is located on our Dunwoody campus.

A minimum of a Master’s degree is required in the teaching discipline or a closely related field completed by the appointment date. Additionally, an associate or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required by the anticipated date of employment.
