Job Description
Join Our Team: Hybrid Front Office Coordinator & Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Council Oak Perio is a boutique periodontal and dental implant surgery practice in Austin, Texas. We blend foundational biological principles with advanced clinical technology—including Yomi® robotic-assisted surgery and ambient clinical AI—delivered in a calm, patient-first environment.
We are expanding and seeking an adaptable, positive Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to grow with us. This hybrid role balances front-desk patient coordination with chairside surgical support. Importantly, front-office and back-office responsibilities are scheduled on a clear, predictable timetable—never random or reactive day-to-day scrambling. You will always know in advance when you are scheduled at the desk versus in the operatory, allowing you to focus fully on one role at a time.
FRONT OFFICE & PATIENT EXPERIENCE:
- Warmly greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, and maintain a calm, welcoming reception environment.
- Answer patient inquiries by phone and email with professionalism and empathy.
- Coordinate daily scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications.
CLINICAL & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Support clinical flow by turning over treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and prepping surgical trays.
- Assist chairside during periodontal and dental implant procedures.
- Guide patients through post-operative instructions with reassurance and clarity.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Adaptable & Growth-Minded: A team player who thrives in an evolving practice and is willing to wear multiple hats.
- Warm Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to put anxious surgical patients at ease.
- Organized & Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital charts, Dentrix, and AI.
- Clinical Experience: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Texas with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Certification: Current Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification is required.
- Current BLS / CPR Certification.
ADVANCED SURGICAL SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
We invest heavily in our team’s clinical growth. Working directly alongside our surgical team, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship in:
- Phlebotomy & Biologics: Learn proper blood-draw techniques and centrifugation protocols to prepare PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) for advanced soft- and hard-tissue grafting.
- Robotic-Guided Implant Surgery: Gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge surgical robotics, digital treatment planning, and dynamic navigational implant workflows.
- Surgical Sedation Protocols: Master deep conscious and IV sedation workflows, comprehensive vitals monitoring, patient safety protocols, and post-sedation recovery.
