Dental Assistant
Job Description
About the Role
What if your career in dentistry could be about more than teeth?
What if you could be part of helping a child finally sleep peacefully, a parent find answers they’ve been searching for, or a patient feel truly seen, heard, and cared for?
At Magnolia Ridge Dentistry, we believe dentistry has the power to change lives. As a privately owned, boutique dental practice with a passion for airway health, sleep, and whole-body wellness, we’re committed to delivering exceptional clinical care and an equally exceptional patient experience.
We’re looking for a Registered Dental Assistant who brings more than clinical skills to the table. Someone who genuinely loves people, takes pride in the little details, and believes how we make patients feel is just as important as the dentistry we provide.
This is a unique hybrid position supporting both our clinical and front office teams based on the needs of the practice. One day you may be assisting Dr. Schuster chairside, and the next you may be welcoming families, coordinating appointments, or helping patients navigate their care.
We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to get through the workday. We’re looking for someone who wants to make a difference, grow professionally, and contribute to a team that believes in the bigger purpose behind what we do.
Two areas of the practice. One shared mission: changing lives through exceptional care.
What You'll Do
• Assist Dr. Schuster with general, restorative, cosmetic, and airway-focused dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, maintain clinical organization, and support efficient daily workflows.
• Take dental radiographs, assist with digital scans, and maintain accurate clinical records within your qualifications.
• Follow sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Welcome patients and families with genuine warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Answer phones, coordinate appointments, and assist with front office responsibilities as practice needs evolve.
• Support patient communication, follow-up, and coordination of care.
• Help patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their dental journey.
• Anticipate the needs of patients and teammates, taking initiative without always needing direction.
• Collaborate with our team to create a seamless, personalized experience from the first phone call through every visit.
• We’d Love to Know Your Why We believe great teams are built with people who share a purpose, not simply a job description. Along with your resume, we’d love for you to answer one question: What originally inspired you to pursue dentistry, and what does making a meaningful difference in a patient’s life look like to you? Because at Magnolia Ridge Dentistry, we’re not just growing our team. We’re building something meaningful, and we’d love to find someone who wants to be part of it.
What You'll Bring
Required: • Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) registration.
• Clinical dental assisting experience required.
• A natural ability to connect with people and make them feel genuinely welcomed and valued.
• Excellent communication skills with an empathetic, professional, and positive approach.
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in both clinical and administrative areas.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance changing priorities.
• A proactive mindset, willingness to take ownership, and commitment to supporting the entire team.
• Curiosity, coachability, and a genuine desire to grow personally and professionally.
• An interest in airway health, sleep dentistry, and understanding how oral health connects to overall wellness.
• You don’t need to know everything about airway and sleep dentistry. We can teach you that. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your commitment to excellence, and the heart you bring to caring for others.
Preferred: • Customer service or hospitality experience strongly preferred. Experience in a boutique, luxury, or relationship-focused service environment is a plus.
• Dental front office experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.
