Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health, and contribute to a positive practice atmosphere. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building patient relationships and working in a smaller practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services including:
• Prophylaxis (teeth cleaning)
• Periodontal scaling and root planing
• Application of sealants and fluorides
• Take and document periodontal charting
• Take digital radiographs (x-rays)
• Assess patients’ oral health and record findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, home care, and preventive strategies
• Collaborate with the dentist to support treatment planning
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to all OSHA and infection control protocols
• Provide gentle, patient-focused care with excellent chairside manner

Qualifications

• Current California RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) license
• CPR certification (BLS)
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient education
• Professional demeanor and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a small practice environment
• Experience with digital radiography preferred
• Experience with dental practice software (Eaglesoft) a plus

Schedule

• Part-time: Mondays and/or Wednesdays for 7-14 hrs/week
• Specific days/times flexible, with potential for scheduling regular weekly hours

Pay: $75.00 per hour
