Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Join our dental care team as a Dental Assistant and help patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their visits. You’ll prepare treatment areas, assist clinicians during procedures, maintain accurate medical records, and follow infection prevention and clinical confidentiality policies. Your impact: Careful chairside support and clear patient guidance help clinicians deliver safe, efficient care and help patients feel at ease.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and treatment rooms; perform dental instrument processing and dental sterilization procedures using aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Take dental X-rays and support other imaging, as directed and within applicable requirements.
• Update medical records and support patient care and patient management software workflows.
• Assist with dental receptionist tasks, such as coordinating patient flow and maintaining records in EMR (Dentrix Ascend).

Requirements

• Dental assisting or dental clinic experience; knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy.
• Familiarity with dental equipment, X-ray procedures, and patient management software; experience with Dentrix Ascend is useful.
• Patient-focused communication, organization, and attention to detail; experience supporting general dentistry is preferred.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 7.0 per week
