Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of pediatric dental procedures including exams and treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary dental instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Coronal polishing
• Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, recording vital signs, and verifying medical history in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Educate young patients on oral hygiene practices using age-appropriate communication and dental terminology to promote lifelong healthy habits.

Skills

• Expertise in dental X-ray procedures, including dental x-ray safety protocols specific to pediatrics.
• Familiarity with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency.
• Must be eligible to get coronal polishing certification
• Knowledge of dental terminology related to dentistry and pediatrics for accurate documentation and communication.
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to children’s needs; ability to manage anxious or fearful young patients effectively.
• Strong adherence to healthcare infection prevention and control standards while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.

Must have RDA certificate issued by TSBDE and minimum 1 year experience.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
