Smile Care Valencia, Dental Office of Robert P. Hedvat DDS is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team on Wednesdays _and/or_ *Thursdays *

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and personable dental hygienist who is confident in providing comprehensive periodontal care.

The ideal candidate is clinically experienced, comfortable treating patients with varying degrees of periodontal disease, and capable of providing thorough care while maintaining an efficient schedule.

We value professionals who demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and genuine concern for their patients' overall oral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy.
• Perform thorough periodontal examinations, six-point periodontal charting, bleeding assessments, and accurate clinical documentation.
• Identify periodontal concerns and communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations to the dentist.
• Educate patients on periodontal disease, oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of ongoing maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with the dentist and periodontal specialists to support comprehensive treatment planning.
• Assist with advanced periodontal treatment protocols, including laser-assisted periodontal therapy and localized antibiotic treatments, as permitted by California regulations and applicable certifications.
• Maintain accurate clinical records using digital dental charting software.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs as indicated and within the hygienist's authorized scope.
• Maintain exceptional standards of infection control, sterilization, and patient safety.
• Deliver a professional, attentive, and personalized patient experience.
• Maintain an organized, efficient clinical schedule without compromising the quality of care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
• Strong periodontal assessment and nonsurgical periodontal therapy skills.
• Experience performing scaling and root planing and periodontal maintenance.
• Excellent clinical documentation and periodontal charting abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the dental team.
• Professional, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Experience in laser-assisted periodontal therapy is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced periodontal treatment protocols and implant maintenance is desirable.

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
