Job Description

Duties:

Independently and competently providing all Orthodontic procedures for patients (including, but not limited to: chairside assisting, bonding / re-positioning brackets, indirect bonding including LightForce ceramic brackets, banding, cementing expanders and similar appliances, archwire changes, de-bonding, delivering Vivera clear retainers, cementing fixed permanent retainers, bonding / debonding Invisalign attachments and buttons, giving Invisalign instructions, oral hygiene & rubber band instructions, etc.)

Independently and competently taking full Orthodontic records (facial & intra-oral photos, panoramic & cephalometric x-rays, 3-D CBCT images, iTero Lumina scans).

Clean / prepare treatment chairs and wash / sterilize instruments.

Provide patient education on oral hygiene and Orthodontic care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Also proficient and confident in the Treatment Coordinator role for office tour, initial iTero Lumina intra-oral scan, fee presentation, answering questions, and appointment scheduling.

Eventually increasing to Full-Time hours (if desired) as the practice grows into the future.
Skills:
-
MUST be bilingual (fluent in both English & Spanish).

MUST have previous experience as an assistant in Orthodontics only (for at least 2 years is preferred).

Infection Control: Knowledge of proper sterilization techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for everybody.

Young Patients: Experience working with pediatric patients, understanding their unique needs and providing compassionate care.

Dolphin: Proficiency in using practice imaging and management software for imaging, treatment card entries, record keeping, and scheduling.

Orthodontic Assisting: Proficiency in assisting the Orthodontist during procedures, anticipating the Doctor's needs, and providing chairside support when needed.
