Job Summary We are seeking a friendly detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education while supporting the overall health and well-being of our patients. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and efficient dental experience for all patients, from pediatrics to adults.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning.
- Capture and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including medical records, treatment notes, and documentation review for compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support infection control procedures by following strict sterilization standards and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable for working with young patients effectively.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and patient assessment with precision.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols within a dental setting.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health needs.
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
