• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
• Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) using advanced equipment while adhering to infection control protocols
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable
• Assist the dentist during procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
• Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft
• Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and support medical coding processes for billing purposes

Qualifications

• Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification
• New grads are welcomed
• Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control standards (aseptic technique)
• Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health, dental assisting procedures, and medical records management
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient care including patient assessment and documentation review
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team
