Dentistry @ University Pointe is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Receptionist to join our team. The front office is the first and last impression of our practice, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while helping our office run smoothly and efficiently.
Position Overview The Front Office Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments, managing patient communications, verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, and supporting the practice's daily administrative functions.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and create a welcoming environment
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Schedule and confirm appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Explain treatment estimates and financial arrangements
Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records
Update patient information and maintain electronic records
Coordinate communication between patients and the clinical team
Assist with recall and reactivation efforts
Manage daily administrative tasks and office correspondence
Support team members to ensure an efficient patient flow
Qualifications
Previous dental experience preferred but not required
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to learn dental software and office systems
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Experience with insurance verification and treatment planning is a plus
