In this role, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, providing exceptional dental hygiene services while effectively communicating in both English and Spanish. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment, ensuring patients receive thorough cleanings, education on oral health, and personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
• Assess patient vital signs and medical history to ensure safe and effective treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options in both English and Spanish.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
• Demonstrated experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray techniques, and infection prevention management standards.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
