Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety standards.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred, along with familiarity in pediatric dental care practices.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport.
• Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including infection control procedures and medical coding.
• Excellent communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
