Job Description
Looking for an experienced RDA who can place rubber dams, has experience with ortho, and who is familiar with implants and digital scanning to help run the back office of a fun queer woman owned LGBTQIA+ positive 1 Dr dental office in Oakland.
We are open to hiring a DA and offer on the job training. We have 1 Dr, 2 RDH, 2 front office team members and a full time sterilization assistant, we are looking for someone who likes to have fun and is exceptionally detail oriented! Also, we are transitioning out of being a PPO office and have a very reasonable schedule. I will negotiate salary for the right person, I'm looking for someone who wants to stay long term, there are opportunities to increase the hourly wage if you are well versed in Invisalign or willing to learn.

The DA works on behalf of the patient and the dentist, helping to assure a high level of professional excellence in oral health care delivery.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
- Take radiographs and scans.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures.
- Conduct work in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient.
- Record treatment information in patient records.
- Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service.
- Assist with other duties as directed in Permitted Duties based on licensure.
- Provide patient education materials.
- Maintain an appropriate office environment.
Hours: We are open Monday-Thursday, and the occasional Friday.
Minimum Requirements:
· Current CPR certification.
· Radiation Safety Certificate (X-ray license)
· Infection Control Certificate (within 120 days of employment)
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.
Optional Requirements:
· At least two years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
