Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant
Duties
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Take dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while adhering to strict HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Open Dental
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, applying aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records with precision.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following infection control standards and OSHA regulations to ensure safety for staff and patients alike.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with dental teams and provide compassionate care to pediatric patients when needed.
