Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for procedures
• Assist endodontists during root canal treatments and other endodontic procedures with chairside support
• Manage patient records accurately using patient management software and ensure all medical documentation complies with HIPAA regulations
• Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging devices such as 3D scanners in accordance with safety protocols
• Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures to prevent infection and maintain aseptic technique
• Monitor vital signs and assist in assessing patient comfort throughout treatment sessions
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing patient information and medical records securely

Skills

• Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation
• Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and healthcare infection control expertise
• Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health conditions
• Ability to operate dental x-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards
• Excellent patient management skills, demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and effective communication
