Associate Dentist
Job Description
Scope of Position: The Associate Dentist is responsible for delivering a distinctive patient experience to our established & growing patient base. Our dentists play a leading part in collaborating with our leadership team to ensure the highest standards of patient care & team morale.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Formulate plan of treatment for patient’s oral health & make recommendations. Diagnose & provide appropriate treatment, including restorative, crowns/bridges, root canals, extractions, implants, & cosmetic dentistry. Interpret radiographs to make informed decisions & proper judgement. Performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone & soft tissues of the oral cavity. Advise & educate patients regarding preventative dental care, the causes & treatment of dental issues, as related. Examine patients’ medical records & make proper treatment diagnoses. Use state-of-the-art equipment to make informed decisions, such as CBCT, Intraoral Camera, etc. Educate patients on proper oral health, preventative care, & other hygiene routines. Design & fit dental prosthodontic appliances, such as bridges, crowns, retainers, etc. Collaborate with our Director of Operations & Owner Dentist to create an efficient workflow of the clinical function, & the patient experience. Comply with all OSHA & HIPAA regulations, ensuring patients treatment & concerns are adhered with strict confidentiality. Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations.
Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent written & verbal communication skills Great interpersonal skills Compassion to serve others; being a leader for our team & patients Good practical business skills; excellent decision-making skills Education/Experience: Doctorate of dental surgery or dental medicine, required. Georgia state license & malpractice insurance, required. One to three years experience in an associate role, preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Work Conditions: This position will perform duties under normal office working conditions, including the prolonged use of a computer, office equipment, and working in close proximity to others. Essential physical requirements may include standing, walking, stooping, typing, and lifting up to 25lbs.
