Associate Dentist

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Dentist to join our dental team one to two days a week. Duties

• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans
• Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options effectively to patients
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment
• Use dental imaging technology and medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery to provide cutting-edge care
• Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear medical terminology

Experience

• Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with a solid understanding of dental office workflows and patient management
• Demonstrated proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms
• Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and radiation safety standards
• Strong background in pediatric dentistry preferred; experience with treating children is highly valued
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while maintaining professionalism and empathy
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements for handling medical records and patient confidentiality
