Associate Dentist

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology.
• Develop personalized treatment plans for restorative, prosthodontic, orthodontic, endodontic, and surgical procedures aligned with patient needs.
• Conduct dental procedures such as extractions, root canal therapy, dental implant placement, oral surgeries, and prosthodontic fabrications with precision and aseptic technique.
• Utilize practice management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document medical records accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
• Provide patient education on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care to foster informed decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with dental assistants and hygienists during four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient comfort.
• Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice dentistry in the respective state; specialization in prosthodontics preferred.
• Proven experience in general dentistry, prosthodontics, or pediatric dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting.
• Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for medical documentation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical procedures including dental extractions, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare diagnosis processes relevant to dental practice.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating client communication skills.
• Commitment to infection control protocols and maintaining high standards of aseptic technique.
