Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a fun, energetic orthodontist with good bedside manner to join our team a couple of Fridays or Saturdays each month at Treasured Smiles Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics. This position has the potential for long-term stability. The owner is a pediatric dentist who is not interested in practicing orthodontics. This is an opportunity to either

b.) become a contractor and collect a daily guarantee with bonuses for starts and stops.

Join our dynamic dental team as an Orthodontist and play a vital role in transforming smiles and boosting confidence! In this engaging position, you will deliver expert orthodontic care, develop personalized treatment plans, and ensure exceptional patient experiences. Your expertise will help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while adhering to the highest standards of dental practice and patient safety. We are committed to fostering a positive, energetic environment where your skills make a real difference in people's lives.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations, including patient assessment and dental diagnosis, utilizing medical imaging and dental terminology to determine treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement customized orthodontic treatment plans using appliances such as braces, aligners, and retainers, ensuring alignment with patient goals and clinical best practices.
  • Perform procedures related to dental implants, oral surgery, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and other general dentistry services as needed within the scope of orthodontics.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists practicing four-handed dentistry to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws, including medical documentation of procedures and patient progress.
  • Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
  • Stay current with advancements in orthodontics, dental technology (such as Epic or Eaglesoft), and healthcare diagnosis techniques to provide innovative care solutions.

Qualifications

  • Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization in orthodontics.
  • Proven experience in dental office settings with a focus on orthodontics; familiarity with dental office software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Proficiency in dental fabrication techniques and the use of medical imaging technology for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately.
  • Ability to perform dental extractions, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other related treatments confidently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as pediatric dentistry, pediatric dentistry techniques, anesthesiology for sedation procedures, and healthcare regulations.

Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise directly impacts patients’ lives! We provide a supportive environment that values your professional growth while ensuring you have the tools needed for success in delivering top-tier orthodontic care.
