We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient appointments.
- Take X-rays while adhering to radiation safety protocols and infection prevention management policies.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain strict infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines.
- Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools while ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant for a minimum of 1 year.
- Proficiency with Dentrix for managing dental documentation and records.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and various dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of healthcare infection control policies and clinical confidentiality regulations (HIPAA compliance).
- Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and administrative support duties.
- Certification in radiography is preferred.
