Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures including dental extractions, dental implants, biopsies.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, clinical examination, and diagnostic imaging interpretation to develop effective treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia, sedation as required, following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with dental team members to coordinate patient care, ensuring clear communication about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
- All administrative support will be provided by existing staff, i.e. billing, appointments.
- Uphold infection control standards by following sterilization procedures and maintaining a sterile environment during all surgical procedures
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of oral surgery techniques including dental extractions and dental implant placement
- Proficiency in using dental imaging technology for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to oral surgery
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatric sedation is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as MOGO, Epic or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance in all patient interactions
- Skilled in infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during procedures

We are located on the campus of Endeavor Swedish Hospital directly across the street from the E.D. which is a strong referral source. Discussion to hospital staff appointment would be discussed with administration as we are an independent practice but our dentists are on hospital staff. We have enough patients to provide you with 1-3 full days per month to start. Compensation would be on standard associate percentage for dental industry starting at 25%-30% but could be negotiated at interview.
