Duties
- Assist the dentist with operative procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Take dental x-rays
- Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical and dental histories in Dentrix, and scheduling appointments.
- Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
- Educate children and their guardians on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions with clear communication
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist dentist in note taking
- Uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards consistently across all clinical activities.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a pediatric dentistry clinic is highly preferred
- Have a growth mindset: we are looking for a team member who wants to learn and grow
- Proficiency with Dentrix, or similar software
- Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and sterilization procedures
- Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques
- Excellent patient management skills with the ability to handle children’s unique needs compassionately and effectively communicate with their parents
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies.
- Certification in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 34.0 per week
