Pediatric Dental Assistant

Little Fox Pediatric Dentistry is hiring! We are looking for a friendly, energetic dental assistant. Duties

• Assist the dentist with operative procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take dental x-rays
• Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical and dental histories in Dentrix, and scheduling appointments.
• Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
• Educate children and their guardians on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions with clear communication
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist dentist in note taking
• Uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards consistently across all clinical activities.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a pediatric dentistry clinic is highly preferred
• Have a growth mindset: we are looking for a team member who wants to learn and grow
• Proficiency with Dentrix, or similar software
• Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and sterilization procedures
• Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques
• Excellent patient management skills with the ability to handle children’s unique needs compassionately and effectively communicate with their parents
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies.
• Certification in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 34.0 per week
