Job Overview Join our team at Grafton Family Dental as a Dental Assistant to provide exceptional care and support to our patients. As a key member of our practice, you will assist in various dental procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for all individuals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, following proper protocols and maintaining patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment for each patient visit.
- Take dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, utilizing knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Record patient information and treatment plans in electronic health records
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care in alignment with individualized treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in dental terminology and general dentistry procedures
- Experience with infection control practices to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Familiarity with Eagle Soft or similar software for electronic health record management is preferred.
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to support the dentist during procedures.
- Previous experience in dental assisting or relevant certification is advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
