Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and setting up necessary equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies
- Provide exceptional patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy
- Support dental reception duties by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and coordinating patient flow efficiently
- Maintain strict infection control standards through proper dental instrument processing, aseptic technique, and adherence to healthcare infection prevention protocols
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential required; experience as a Dental Assistant is highly preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting
- Experience with dental x-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting
- Ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology while maintaining clarity for patients of all ages, especially pediatrics
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and proficiency in medical documentation practices

Pay: $26.53 - $33.00 per hour
