Orthodontic Assistant - Traveling
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Orthodontic Assistant will support doctors during treatment exams and all necessary functions. RDAs are responsible for performing all duties of a Registered Dental Assistant while providing quality customer service and maintaining a professional relationship and positive attitude with co-workers and patients alike.
This position will be responsible for and do the following:
Greet and prepare patients for dental care Assist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in any treatment of patients Excellent communication skills Must anticipate the orthodontist's needs and be prepared for the next steps Removal and placement of arch wires Tooth preparation prior to bonding Accurate computer charting Sterilization of chairs and instruments Responsible for oral hygiene instructions Placement and removal of brackets Take panoramic and cephalometric x-rays as well as oral photographs Undertake lab tasks as instructed
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures Familiar with Sterilization Familiar with OSHA guidelines and procedures Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred Previous experience required

Schedule & Location: McAllen, Weslaco, San Juan Monday-Friday and 1 Saturday a month
