Position Overview: We are a locally owned, private general dental office experiencing rapid growth, and we are seeking a highly motivated and professional Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care, supporting the doctor during clinical procedures, and helping the office run efficiently throughout the day. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a warm and reassuring presence for our patients.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will assist the dentist during a wide range of general dental procedures and help create a comfortable, efficient experience for every patient. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, setting up and breaking down operatories, sterilizing instruments, maintaining infection-control standards, taking and processing dental radiographs, documenting treatment and clinical notes, and ensuring supplies and materials are properly stocked. You will also provide patient education, review post-operative instructions, assist with impressions and other clinical procedures as permitted, and work closely with the doctor, hygienists, and administrative team to keep the daily schedule running smoothly.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have prior dental assisting experience in a general dental practice and a strong understanding of chairside assisting, sterilization, infection control, and dental terminology. Current Texas dental assisting credentials and radiology certification should be maintained as required for the duties performed. Experience with Dentrix practice management software (Dexis for radiographs) is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate the doctor's needs while providing compassionate patient care. A positive attitude and strong team mindset are essential.
