<h3>Dental Front Office Coordinator </h3><p>Location: 180 South Broadway, Suite 2, Hicksville, NY 11801<br />Compensation: $24-$28 per hour<br />Patient Mix: PPO / FFS / Medicaid<br />Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 till 6:00 pm<br />Benefits Eligibility: Employees regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours per week may be eligible for benefits. </p><h3> </h3><h3>About the Role </h3><p>We are looking for an experienced dental front office professional to join our Hicksville practice.<br /><br />This is not simply a receptionist position. We need someone who understands how a busy dental office works and can take ownership of patients, schedules, insurance and collections from beginning to end.<br /><br />Our Hicksville office is a 9-operatory, multi-provider practice serving a diverse and excellent patient base with a mix of Medicaid and PPO patients. The practice is under new management with significant investment being made in the office, team, systems and patient growth. We also provide centralized revenue-cycle support so the front office is not expected to solve every insurance or billing issue alone.</p><p> </p><h3>What You'll Do </h3><p>You should be comfortable independently managing the core front-office workflow, including:</p><ul><li>Medicaid eligibility, benefits, prior authorizations/predeterminations and required documentation</li><li>PPO insurance verification and understanding patient benefits</li><li>Reading a patient ledger and being able to explain balances accurately</li><li>Collecting copays, deductibles, balances and treatment payments at the appropriate time helping patients understand their financial responsibility</li><li>Following outstanding treatment and helping patients get scheduled</li><li>Reappointing patients before they leave, particularly hygiene patients</li><li>Keeping providers’ schedules full and productive</li><li>Confirming appointments and actively working cancellations and open time</li><li>Checking patients in and out efficiently</li><li>Understanding when an insurance or billing issue needs to be escalated to our RCM team</li><li>Keeping accurate notes and following through on unresolved patient issues</li><li>Arriving on time, being dependable and taking ownership of your responsibilities</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience working in a dental office with a meaningful Medicaid patient population is required.</li><li>You should already understand that Medicaid dentistry has specific authorization, eligibility and documentation requirements and be comfortable working within those processes.</li><li>We are especially interested in someone who:</li><li><ul><li>Has strong dental front-office experience</li><li> Is comfortable asking patients for money professionally and directly</li><li>Can read and understand a patient ledger rather than simply quoting whatever balance appears on the screen</li><li>Understands predeterminations/prior authorizations and follows them through to completion</li><li>Knows how to keep patients moving through the practice and get them reappointed</li><li>Is organized, responsive and reliable</li><li>Doesn’t allow unresolved items to sit without follow-up</li></ul></li><li>Highschool Degree or equivalent</li></ul><p></p><h3>Preferred </h3><ul><li>Experience with treatment presentation and financial arrangements </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with dental practice management software </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments </li></ul><ul><li>Bilingual skills (if applicable to market) </li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Employees regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for: </p><ul><li>Medical Insurance </li></ul><ul><li>Dental Insurance </li></ul><ul><li>Vision Insurance </li></ul><ul><li>401(k) with 4% Employer Match </li></ul><ul><li>Paid Holidays </li></ul><ul><li>Paid Time Off (PTO) </li></ul><ul><li>Continuing Education Support </li></ul><p>Insurance benefits begin the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
