Insurance Dental Front Office

About the Role Are you looking for a position where you can use all of your skills in a fun, energetic environment? We are an expanding, fast-paced dental office seeking a Dental Insurance/Financial Coordinator to join our team!

As our Insurance/Financial Coordinator, you will play a key role in patient care and practice success. You'll be the friendly face and knowledgeable resource helping patients understand their insurance benefits and treatment costs. You’ll also work closely with insurance companies, our clinical team, and our patients to ensure a smooth financial experience.

What You'll Do • Greets visitors and patients entering the practice and alerts appropriate staff of patient arrivals • Answers telephone within the first two rings, routes calls, provides information, and takes messages in accordance with practice procedures • Checks voicemail and email and writes appropriate dispatches(memos) to appropriate posts in the office • Establishes, maintains and keeps patient files and records up to date (i.e. address, phone number, insurance/financial information, etc.) • Prepares correspondence, memos, congratulatory, condolence letters, and other documents, as requested by doctor • Uses computer, fax, or courier service to transmit information or documents when requested • Keeps the front desk and reception areas clean • Performs necessary duties associated with checking patients in and out • Monitors the automatic communication system and maintains accuracy • Calls Insurance companies to gather information regarding patient eligibilities, verifications and benefits • Checks Insurance benefits and eligibilities via online Insurance/Financial portals • Researches additional diagnostic and preventative services that can be provided based on patients’ needs • Attaches services to be performed by providers to patient appointments • Calls patients to inform and educate them about their Insurance/Financial benefits. •
