Dental Office Manager / Director of Operations
A busy dental practice serving Medicaid patients and focusing on extractions, dental implants, and dentures is seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager / Director of Operations.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who understands both the front desk and clinical workflow, knows dental billing, and can keep daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily practice operations, patient flow, scheduling, and staff coordination.
- Manage dental insurance billing, including claim submission, payment posting, denials, and follow-up on outstanding claims.
- Monitor patient balances, collections, and accounts receivable.
- Train, support, and hold team members accountable.
- Support front desk responsibilities, including patient communication, insurance verification, and treatment coordination.
- Coordinate with dental assistants and providers to keep appointments organized and on schedule.
- Manage supplies, vendor communication, and office procedures.
- Resolve patient concerns professionally and work with the practice owner to improve office performance.
Qualifications
- Prior dental office management or dental operations leadership experience is required.
- Strong dental insurance billing experience is required; Medicaid billing experience is highly valued.
- Experience with dental front desk responsibilities and a working knowledge of dental assisting and clinical workflow.
- Previous hands-on dental assisting experience is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software and financial reports.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership, follow through, and step in where needed.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
