Pentino Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team on an independent contractor basis while our full-time hygienist is out on maternity leave.

We’re looking for someone who can work 2–4 days per week, Monday through Thursday. This is a temporary position during maternity leave, with the potential to become a permanent 2-day-per-week opportunity for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and oral evaluations
• Take digital radiographs
• Provide personalized oral hygiene and preventive-care education
• Discuss treatment recommendations and help patients understand their oral health
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records
• Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team on treatment planning
• Follow all infection-control, sterilization, aseptic, and HIPAA protocols
• Create a comfortable and positive experience for every patient
• Help maintain the collaborative, team-first culture that makes Pentino Dental a great place to work

What We're Looking For

• Current Ohio Dental Hygienist license
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of general dentistry
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Warm, personable approach with patients
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a busy but supportive dental environment
• Familiarity with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software is a plus
• Previous dental office experience preferred
• Pediatric experience is a plus, but not required
• New graduates are welcome to apply
