Dental Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our dental team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform administrative tasks as required, including medical coding and billing.

Skills

• Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix
• Ability to perform four handed dentistry effectively to assist the dentist efficiently.
• Capability in medical coding for accurate billing processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to assist in various procedures including but not limited to X-Ray imaging.
