Dental Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant with an active X-ray license to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of infection control and medical documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment specializing in high quality care. The Dental Assistant will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care through, dental imaging, and maintaining accurate dental records. Needed hours are Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene Assistant
• Take dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Prepare Dental hygiene treatment rooms,
• Sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies.
• Support patient care by explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records within EMR systems such as Open Dental Software.
• Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques.
• Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Manage appointment scheduling.
• Support the use of advanced technology including 3D scanners and dental imaging equipment.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the team on four-handed dentistry practices to improve efficiency and patient comfort.

Requirements

• Valid X-ray license required; certification must be current and compliant with state regulations.
• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting preferred, especially in general dentistry.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with dental terminology.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Available hours to work. Mondays 8:45am to 6pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:45am-5pm.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. This position provides an engaging environment for dedicated dental professionals eager to deliver quality care while advancing their skills in a supportive team setting.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.0 – 40.0 per week
